Could You Imagine

I found this through http://garry.posterous.com/ and Gizmodo it just blew my mind what Apple has instore for us.

Those of you clamoring for an Apple tablet may finally get what you’ve been waiting for. According to a MacDailyNews source who leaked wireless iTunes a week before its official announcement, we can expect a sort of “MacBook touch” in October. And the source wasn’t light on the details, either:

Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with
iPhone-like, but fuller-featured multi-touch. Gesture library. Full Mac
OS X. This is why they bought P.A. Semi. Possibly with Immersion’s
haptic tech. Slot-loading SuperDrive. Accelerometer. GPS. Pretty
expensive to produce initially, but sold at “low” price that will
reduce margins. Apple wants to move these babies. And move they will.
This is some sick shit. App Store-compatible, able to run Mac apps,
too. By October at the latest.

In all honesty, we may have passed this story up, but we’ve heard
vague reports from reliable sources that Quanta is busy building a
touch product for Apple. This latest information seems seems to
complement what we’ve heard. [MacDailyNews]

UPDATE: A post over at AppleInsider might have some more light to shed on the story. At the recent earnings talk,
Apple promised a product transition by the end of September with
“technologies and features that others can’t match” at a profit margin
that no one else can approach (read: cheaper stuff). The plot thickens!

What will be said when the Bold drops

What will happen when the Bold gets released, will the review boys be
harsher on it because it follows the great “iPhone”, will Rim be able
to keep a good momentum, and what about the REAL PRICE what will it be?.

All these questions are popping up all over the internet, personally I
think that the Reviewers, I.E wall street guys and big Tech Companies
will try to trash talk the unit, just because of the steps that Rm
takes to secure there devices abilities as well as manner. Rim has been
steadfast and true, not a flashy, all the bells and whistles kind of
company…well at least not a a whim, they truly think out their
designs and release when they feel it is a match and a step, and
usually a good step up ad forward.

if you can see now that some of the WTF iPhone issues are comming out
of the wood work, like the no cut and paste, but also the no video, and
no streaming video as of yet and a few mor that I have come across in
my readings. I think apple rushed the phone for the 3G and wanted the
dominace, and wanted to be the fisrt to bite this summer, they new
where Rim was at and had to make their mark….But I believe that when
the BOLD drops, and after the he said she said falls away, that the
bold will out shine the iPhone ad all ohter as well. It is a well
thought out design, MAchine, and operating systems with tried and true
electronics and applications.

I cant wait to hold one, and try her out.

Hey data Device users

Rogers Wireless announces HSPA nework rollout in CanadaIt seems after to talking with a rogers rep today…if you currently have a data plan that is more expensive than the new iPhone plan you qualify for the new deal ( on a 3 year ), so it doesnt have to be a new 3G phone , or an Iphone or a blackberry, any of the data devices they have qualify for this plan. At least this makes it a little nicer for use NON 3g blackberry users, and treo people.

What Happened

Just 4 hours after opening on the biggest Rogers Wireless day to date, I saw, empty stores, were they out of Iphones, apparently not, as I sat and eat my lunch I notice 2 sets of people come in, One bought an Iphone and the other left with nothing, then another couplecame in and bought a different phone all together. I had totally expectedto see the stores packed or SOLD OUT signs up everywhere, but….nothing,no major hype no over crowded stores, HMMMM. Well i was eager to get in and see for my self the Mystic 3G phone,so I walked in and started with the Demo Iphone and played for about 5 to 8 mins, then was greeted by one of the reps we talked abit and he noticed my curve, he toldme ” Honestly if I were you, I would wait for the BOLD, yes that is what he said, “The Bold”, he said it would be out before the months end and he had spent some time with the reps Bold and said it was fantastic, amazing screen, and fast not just internet but the whole device was blazing fast. Well I said I will look into it for sure and politly thank him and left. To my surprise I was feeling good again that I was using a RIM device over the Monolithic iPhone,my curve works well, allows me to do what I need and when I need it, never freezes up like my PALMs did, and doesn’t have this huge learning curve like the iPhone does with me. So all the HYPE wasit worth it,is the iPhone a cool device ABSOLUTELY, will I trade my trusted RIM for it…Not a Chance…….

Well the Time Has Come…… for the Mullet Phone

Well the time has come, the iPhone has officially been sold in Canada, good !… now that this is out of the way, we can talk about the other stuff, like have you seen the apps store for this thing, and the apps, man O man the iPhone developers love to develop, more so than the RIM guys I think..Maybe ( might have more to with RIM than there developers), but wow lots of stuff to play with and down load. Plus 25% of the stuff is free and the majority after that are about $9.95,that’s pretty amazing…I think this might be a little of the reason why I get jealous over the iPhone guys, they seem to have more fun..I like to have fun, really, but my blackberry kind of says Business, Business, Business, and the iPhone Fun,Fun,Fun.
WAIT
You know what we need
to combine the 2 phones into a MULLET Phone, with business in the front and Party in the Back…..ewwww I could not resist. Well I hope that the other manufactures take notice to the way the iPhone is advertised and sold, and how their 3rd party developers seem to be rewarded when it comes time to sell their next big ticket item. You Listening RIM.

Going with your INSTINCT

Well I have been having daily chats with Mr Instinct himself up on Twitter, and watching his following get bigger and bigger, I have also notice that I am talking about him more and more as well.

Sprint has a new add out where they do the Instinct VS iPhone, and believe me from the AD I really like the instincts chances, he has faster Video, faster download speeds, faster TV…Never mind the Awards he has won…..like best in show CITA WIRELESS 2008,Best Mobile CE Smartphone CTIA Wireless 2008,Best Cell Phone CTIA april 2008. I truly believe they are both awesome looking pieces of engineering, and accomplish basically the same things….with Instinct having a slight advantage, so why is there so much hype over the iphone? It tends to be the same with everything Apple. I must confess I always wanted an ibook, and I eventually got 2 hand me downs, 1 Powerbook, and 1 ibook, but when all was said and done…I still work from the one device that can do everything I need and comfortably as well….My Sony Vaio….so all hype aside I believe the Instinct will do very well against the iPhone, …..as functionality and price combined with real world carriers ( like more than just 2 in North America Ahem..rogers and ATT) caring the Instinct will assure his ( theinstincts) success, here and in the States….Good luck to you my Instinct freind…..by the way you can follow him here on twitter
